Update
Spuds is doing much better. He is out of the hospital but now he's being treated for sarcoptic mange. He has to stay in isolation again! This poor guy has had a rough time but he's alive and he's going to be fine! He went from 4lbs to 12 in just 3 weeks!!! Amazing! He's growing like crazy which is good to see. He's playful and loves to cuddle with me. I'm so glad this baby is alive. We still have a ways to go on his vet expenses, but at least he's been treated!

Saved from death row a SECOND time
Spuds McKenzie was pulled from a high kill shelter where he was slated to be put to sleep. He's just a puppy and has had a rough start in life. I drove out of state and I brought him to my rescue. Now he's in the hospital being treated for Parvo and a severe case of intestinal worms. When I first got him, he couldn't stand up. He was vomiting and had severe diarrhea with blood in it. I didn't get much sleep that first night. First thing in the morning, I took him to the vet on an emergency basis where he was put in isolation and given IVs and meds. He's been there since Sept. 23 and we don't know when he can get out. He's not doing as well as we'd like but he is making slow progress. That first night he was here while waiting for the vet to open, I was checking on him. He put his little head in the palm of my hand and just stared up at me. I felt so bad for him. You could tell he was wanting me to help him. I promised him right then that I would do whatever I could to save his life. As a dog rescuer, I refuse to put this dog to sleep just because of money. This bill is going to be high and this rescue needs to do some fundraising. ALL Creatures Matter Rescue, LLC is an IN registered non-profit organization. We accept donations through this link, by mail or directly to the vet's office. If requested, we will supply the vet information so that donations can be made directly to them. This link is the quickest way but we also take them by mail. As a non-profit consisting of volunteers, we cannot save lives without adoption fees and donations. Help is needed desperately so I hope you will consider contributing. It all goes directly to the dogs.

Today's update
I just spoke with the vet. Spuds still isn't eating on his own. They have been force feeding him. But the good news is that he isn't vomiting now! He does still have diarrhea. Dr. Frazier said he's going out to potty and moving around a bit more. He's still in isolation, on IVs and antibiotics. But he's no where near coming home yet. Every day he gets better but every day is more expenses. Please help ALL Creatures Matter. This baby deserves a good life.
